  • CLAAS - A Climate Data Record of Cloud Properties

Webinar with Jan Fokke  Meirink (KNMI); Steffen Kothe (DWD), Irina Solodovnik (DWD), Christine Traeger Chatterjee (EUMETSAT) and Antonio Vecoli (EUMETSAT).

    19 April 2023, 12:00 UTC | Registrations closed

This online short course presents CLAAS-3, the latest edition of the SEVIRI-based climate data record on clouds and cloud features, generated by the Satellite Application Facility on Climate Monitoring (CM SAF).

During the approximately two-hour course, participants get the chance to learn from CM SAF experts about all important features and highlights of the data record. In a hands-on session, users start working with the data to get insights into data handling and data formats.

After the event, we want participants to be able to remember the most important features of the CLAAS-3 data record and its improvements compared to its predecessor. Attendees should know the data format and how to start working with the data. One measure of a successful short course would be a measurable increase in the download numbers of the CLAAS-3 data.
