SeaDAS

SeaDAS was developed by NASA to work with ocean colour data from the SeaWiFS satellite. It continues to be developed and is now in a similar format to SNAP and BEAM, thanks to collaborations with the developers. It contains processing options such as atmospheric correction and data binning, as well as many other tools similar to those available in SNAP/BEAM. You can download SeaDAS here.

GIS

As applications become more and more diverse, it is becoming more common to import satellite data in to GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or ENVI. These software offer many different types of analysis and ways to analyse data. They have not historically been used as much by the ocean remote sensing community, but the improved resolution, and increased use of data for applications such as marine spatial planning which require use of multiple types of geospatial data, are changing this.
